![]() Where Amazon has managed to make writing on its first large-screen ereader buttery smooth, Kobo didn't quite achieve that. ![]() The stylus doesn't feel quite as natural as the experience we've had with the Kindle Scribe. ![]() But that's not unique to Kobo – every 10.3-inch E Ink tablet we've tested is going to feel cumbersome as an ereader. And, it’s not designed for one-handed use. It’s too large to use on public transport, even if you’ve got a seat, and feels heavy in the hand, even without a sleepcover. Kobo says the Elipsa is an ereader first, but with a screen size of 10.3 inches and 383g in weight, it’s not quite as portable as traditional ereaders. If you can try this and it works, I will check it in.Then there’s the size and weight considerations. The main difference is that it displays the name of the device rather than a generic name. I have a modified version for the TOLINO driver adding the epos in a different way (my only tolino device). ![]() Unfortunately, tolino do not expose data about the reading status or metadata to be able to fetch it. The device does scan elsewhere for books, but, collections are not create with books found elsewhere. It might be the lowest level directory that is used. And the sub-directories will appear as collections. ![]() Unless there has been a change in the software, it will be using the "/Books". But, the vision 6 is still running the Android based software similar to earlier devices.Īdding the product and vendor id to the TOLINO driver in eb600.py is the right way to do it. It appears to use the case of the new Kobo Libra 2, but, the internals are probably closer to the Kobo Sage or maybe the Elipsa. While tolino is owned by Kobo, and the tolino hardware is similar to the Kobo hardware, they have been keeping this sort of thing separate. ![]()
